The homeowners wanted the overhang reduced by 2 feet for more visibility. One of the most important things is that the tongue and groove soffit had to be removed and set aside. Also, the Presidential shingles had to be removed from the bottom up 2 ft. and set aside as well.
The tongue and groove was ripped to accommodate the new length of the overhang, attached delicately side by side.
Final image of a fully completed project after the drip edge was installed and the Presidential shingles reinstalled to the same pattern as the rest of the roof. Caulking and matching trim paint were the final touches.
